This Cookie Policy explains how Singular Sunshine Studios uses cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser's local storage) on this website. For how we handle personal information more generally, see our Privacy Policy.
Your choices
We only use cookies that are not strictly necessary after you agree. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject all, or choose by category — rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the website works the same either way.
You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of every page, or the button at the bottom of this page. Your choice is remembered for 180 days, and we ask again if we add a new category.
What we use
Necessary (always on)
These make the website work and remember what you asked for. They do not track you.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
sss_consent | Remembers your cookie choices | 180 days |
sss_locale | Remembers the language you picked from the language menu | 1 year |
sss_geo (browser storage, not a cookie) | Remembers which country your connection appears to come from, so the home page can open in your language | 24 hours |
When you open the home page for the first time, your browser asks Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) — or, if that fails, country.is — which country the request comes from. Only the country code is kept, on your own device. Like any website you visit, these services see your IP address when they answer.
Analytics (only if you accept)
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics 4 counts visits and shows us, in aggregate, which pages are read, so we can improve the website | Up to 2 years |
We do not use Google Analytics advertising features and we do not use the data for advertising. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. If you reject analytics, or withdraw your consent later, Google Analytics does not load, and the cookies above are deleted.
Videos (only if you accept, or when you press "Load video")
Game trailers are hosted by YouTube (Google). Until you allow them, we show a cover image instead of the video. When a video loads, it is served from youtube-nocookie.com, and Google may still set cookies and collect information about your device under the Google Privacy Policy. Pressing Load video loads only that one video and is not remembered.
What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
